Great stay at Petra
We enjoyed our two nights stay at Movenpick Resort Petra. The location is super convenient--just a couple of minutes’ walks to Petra entrance, restaurants, and shops outside. Plenty of taxies nearby as well. Truly appreciate the convenience after long day’s hiking inside Petra. The hotel’s public areas are nicely decorated with Islamic architecture characters. Our room has a balcony and faces the swimming pool. It is modern, clean, and comfortable. Slightly noisy air-conditioning but we didn’t have it on most of the time because it was cool with natural wind blows. Breakfast has good selection of food and decent service. Special thanks to concierge who got us the Petra by Nights tickets and Mutaz of front desk, he works with big smiles and great efficiency. Highly recommend this hotel for Petra visitors.

Pending reviewReviewed I’m writing to express my frustration with a recent experience involving one of your porters. Not only was the porter’s body odor extremely unpleasant, but he also kept asking me for money during the service. It was uncomfortable and inappropriate. While I understand tips are expected, being constantly asked for , he was tall and his name starts with an A .this is not acceptable, especially in such a manner. I would appreciate it if you could address both the hygiene issue and the porter’s behavior, as this situation significantly impacted my experience.

Great location and super nice staff
Very nice hotel and wonderful staff, great location as it is right across the street from Petra Visitor Center. The butler got us tickets for the Petra at night show so we didn’t have to go buy the tickets ourselves which was great. The rooms are cozy and clean with a complimentary minibar. There is a little bazar on the ground floor where you can buy some nice souvenirs. The only negative point was their fine dining restaurant, Al Iwan, which we found overpriced and disappointing. The rooftop grill and the bar however serve both great meals if you want something else than a buffet and the breakfast choices are also great.

Beautiful view and location
Nice hotel beautiful view and great location near all tourist attractions there rooms clean and comfortable very helpful staff friendly and ready to serve you in any way and the food is great variety and fresh food and drinks are free they have three different options of restaurant

Perfect for a stay in Petra, and the Al Mara’ad bar the place to stop after your day at the site
Perfect place to stop after a long day at the site - they have a happy hour and team is welcoming and a joy to chat to! Service, food and drink all great, and particular thanks to Muath .N for gold standard service! Shoqran! Room is lovely and it’s cannot be understated how great it is to be 2 minutes from the entrance for early starts/end of long day walking. 100% recommend for a stay in Petra.
