Movenpick Hotel Nurnberg Airport -- Convenient to the Airport and to Public Transportation
Very nice stay at the Movenpick Hotel Nurnberg Airport. The hotel is literally right across the street from the terminal and is thus incredibly convenient for late arriving or early departing flights. It is also across the street from the U-bahn (line U2), so it is only 15 minutes or so from the HBF and the Old Town. The hotel was clean, quiet, and while not state of the art, was very nice for a two-night stay. Breakfast was excellent and the fitness center was good. The staff at the front desk was professional and helpful. As is the norm for European hotels, the room was smaller than comparable hotels in North America, but it was clean and had all the amenities. The bathroom and shower were a bit smaller than even the European norm but certainly acceptable. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The question I ask when I write a review is "would I stay here again." Without doubt the answer is yes. Convenient to the airport and convenient to the center of the city--that is a nice combination.

Bad food
The breakfast at this hotel is very poor. Scrambled eggs are the worst ugliest I've ever been served in any hotel.. missing orange juice after a day with colored water in it. It is not possible to send a written email to the hotel. Only get a return by email even if you use a link on their website. A bad breakfast gives the impression of a bad hotel. although the room is okay enough.

Solid location if flying, dated room.
This is an OK hotel. Reminded me of a Red Roof Inn back in the United States. If you are flying in or out of the airport, the location cannot be beat. I was there for the Christmas markets, and had booked too late to really be able to stay anywhere good around the downtown area. There is a train stop not three minutes from the hotel front door, and a quick 12 or so minute trip gets you right to the train station where it’s about another 15 minute walk down a nice shopping plaza to the markets. One note – if using Google Maps, it shows the hotel on the wrong side of the street. It kept showing me that it was actually part of the terminal, so I was looking in that direction for it when in reality it’s just across from it. Be on the lookout for that if you are driving in.

Anita is the best!!
I wanted to leave an outstanding review for Anita at reception. My airline had abandoned me at 1am in Nuremberg (half the country away from where I was supposed to be) and I had wet hair and a bad cold. I was about to check in but needed to be at the train station in 3 hours’ time. So Anita found me a hotel close to the station and gave me access to the sauna to dry my hair. I couldn’t have asked for any better, such an angel!! Thanks so much Anita. I would stay here for the wonderful service if I go back to Nuremberg!

Very quiet and very close to the airport
In some cities, hotels next to the airport can be noisy and run down. Movenpick was the complete opposite. Quiet, comfortable bed, clean and tidy. It's a shame my flight was so early, as I didn't get to try the food. Very short walk to the airport terminal and the U-Bahn station. Probably be staying here again next visit.
